Meet Your Speech Therapist

LAurel Margraf, M.A., CCC-SLP, Owner

Laurel received her Bachelor’s degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology and her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Ball State University. She has worked in early intervention, inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, acute care, private practice, and in the public schools/preschool setting. Through all of these experiences she has acquired valuable skills to assess and treat a variety of speech and language disorders. Laurel has a strong passion for pediatric speech therapy, and strives to provide the best quality, evidenced based, client centered care. She believes true progress comes from a collaborative relationship between the family and therapist, and family input and participation is key. Therapy should be fun, engaging, and child led. There is no one size fits all approach when it comes to speech therapy. Laurel will make sure to meet your child where he or she is at currently, and provide a treatment plan that best suits your child’s individual needs and long-term communication goals. It has been said that Laurel is “the toy lady” because she has a passion for quality toys and play based learning. She is consistently researching the best toys to engage her children and clients, and ways to utilize these toys in a multitude of ways to spark joy and promote progress. Laurel treats a variety of communication delays and disorders, and looks forward to connecting with you!
